To mark National Tree week 2026, we want to recognise the importance of the historic pear tree at The Digital Hub. It’s estimated to be aged in the range of 150 to 200 years old, and it still bears fruit!

🍐 A mechanical elevated platform is needed to harvest the pears from the top branches.
🍐 A pear picked from the tree — in 2022 DNA analysis confirmed it as “Marechal de Cour", also known as "Conseiller de la Cour”, a variety popular in Victorian Britain, from where it likely spread in 1847.
🍐 Members of The Digital Hub, local community groups and students of NCAD Field gather at The Digital Hub for the annual community harvest of fruit from the pear tree.
🍐 A throw-back to Spring of last year — we’re expecting the tree to blossom in the coming weeks.

The Digital Hub currently has five office spaces available to rent in our Townhouse Twenty2 building on Thomas Street.
The offices range from 235 sq.ft to 366 sq.ft and can fit 4-8 staff.
Pricing ranges from €945 to €1460 excluding VAT per month.
