ℹ Bloop Groop is an evening for electronic musicians & producers of all levels - from the mildly curious to professionals - to hang out, test out kit, and make music, culminating in a structured collaborative jam where everyone gets involved.
Inspired by Bristol’s Bleep Klub, Bloop Groop is less about the gear, and more about having fun, learning and making music together, in a low-stress, playful environment.

@flux_dublin are hosting a `Portrait and Figure Drawing in Mixed Media` 6 week workshop with artist, Marie Le Men starting from Friday, 2nd May, 10am to 1pm in Digital Court.
This course is designed for beginners as well as more advanced learners to explore an observational approach to portraiture in mixed media.
There will be a strong emphasis on sculptural drawing, i.e. structure of the head and placement of features, neck and shoulders. There will also be experimenting with materials and a toolbox of techniques, to learn to vary linework and render different textures, or select limited palettes. Participants will work from reference pictures and from life with models.

The Examination, starring stand-up comedian Willa White (Joy in the Hood, The Savage Eye, You Must Be Jokin` Podcast) is a multi-award-winning production exploring mental health and human rights in the prison system. The Examination is written and directed by leading Irish theatre company Brokentalkers (The Blue Boy, Have I No Mouth, Masterclass).
Featuring @brokentalkers_dublin`s distinctive blend of biography and breath taking theatricality. The Examination draws on historical research and testimony from current and former prisoners as well as Willa White`s own experience of incarceration, rehabilitation and recovery. With powerful imagery and a visceral sound scape, The Examination is an uncompromising, revelatory and often darkly funny interrogation of an aspect of society too often ignored.
