The Liber8 Music Project returns on 23rd October

The Liber8 Music Project: Empowering Young Creatives through Music and Digital Media.

The Digital Hub and BIMM Music Institute Dublin are delighted to announce the return of The Liber8 Music Project on Wednesday, 23rd October.

Are you a 14 to 16-year-old living in Dublin 8 or the surrounding areas? Do you want to explore your passion for music and digital media while gaining essential skills for the future? Look no further!

The Liber8 Music Project, an afterschool programme created by The Digital Hub in collaboration with BIMM Music Institute Dublin, is back this year from Wednesday, 23rd October to Friday, 13th December 2024.

This exciting 10-week programme runs twice a week on Wednesdays at The Digital Hub and Fridays at BIMM Dublin, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, culminating in a Graduation Performance on the final day.

Since its launch in 2017, The Liber8 Music Project has offered young people a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of music and digital creativity.

The programme is free to attend and provides invaluable exposure to key 21st-century skills that participants can carry forward into their careers.

Over the course of the programme, participants will work through three core modules:

• Module 1: Music Styles – Dive into a wide range of music genres and discover what inspires you the most.
• Module 2: Introduction to Performance Techniques – Develop your confidence and learn how to perform effectively in front of an audience.
• Module 3: Introduction to Recording and Sound Design – Gain hands-on experience with the tools and techniques used in professional music production.

The Liber8 Music Project takes its name from Dublin’s Liberties area, where both The Digital Hub and BIMM Dublin are based. Known for its rich cultural history and creative spirit, the Liberties is home to many of the city’s emerging artists. Through this programme, local young people can unleash their potential and showcase their talents in one of Dublin’s most iconic communities.
