Is your bike in need of a little TLC? Join Codema - Dublin's Energy Agency for a free, hands-on bicycle maintenance and repair demonstration as part of Dublin Climate Action Week.

Hosted by Eoin Ahern, Codema’s Transport Lead and a proud member of the Dublin Cycling Campaign, this workshop will equip you with essential tips and tricks to keep your bike running smoothly.

Learn the basics of:
🔧 Simple bike repairs
 🔗 Proper bike-locking techniques
 🧽 Easy maintenance for a longer bike life

📍 The workshop will take place between 1:00pm - 2:00pm in iD8 Studio at Digital Depot on Thursday, 14th May.

Culture Date with Dublin 8 ~ 4th - 10th May, 📍

City of Dublin FET - Thomas Street will be hosting a Learning, Community and Culture event as part of @culturedatewithdublin8. 

The event will showcase the people, history and cultures that shape the adult learning community in our community development course.

It will include a community exhibition exploring the culture of City of Dublin FET - Thomas Street community learners and it will include guided tours of centre, a community adult education information desk, and will also feature One Photo, One Story AONTAS Adult Learners’ Festival Exhibition cultural profiles of learners and staff.

📍 The event will take place on Friday, 8th May from 10:00am - 12:00pm in The Grainstore at The Digital Hub.

Culture Date with Dublin 8 ~ 4th - 10th May, 📍

Gulliver’s Tag & Trade is a hands-on swap and making workshop led by @changeclothesdublin as part of @culturedatewithdublin8. Inspired by the spirit of Gulliver’s Travels, the event invites participants to reflect on movement, exchange and storytelling through clothing.

Audiences are encouraged to bring a small selection of good-quality items to swap, then take part in a relaxed drop-in workshop to design and make their own luggage tag using rescued scrap textiles, trims and haberdashery from the @changeclothesdublin scrap store.

The session blends practical skill-building with creativity and conversation. Participants can expect simple guided demonstrations, plenty of materials to work with and a welcoming social atmosphere where making happens alongside swapping.

📍 The session will take place on Friday, 8th May from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in @changeclothesdublin workshop at Digital Depot at The Digital Hub.

The Digital Hub will be hosting @thelibertiescommunityproject's Beekeeping Experience with @innercityBee8 on our campus as part of @culturedatewithdublin8 festival. 

Discover the fascinating world of bees with a 1.5-hour Beekeeping Experience – an unforgettable opportunity to meet the bees, learn how they live and communicate and gain hands-on insight into the essential role of beekeepers in sustaining our environment.

The Beekeeping Experience on Tuesday, 5th May as part of @culturedatewithdublin8 is currently sold out due to high demand but there are a number of classes on other dates still available to book.
