Did you know?
St Patrick`s Tower on The Digital Hub campus, is located beside what is claimed to be, Ireland’s oldest fruit bearing tree.
Every September, The Digital Hub hosts a pear tree community harvest in collaboration with Gareth Kennedy, NCAD Fine Art lecturer in Sculpture and Expanded Practice and course leader of NCAD FIELD.
Lecturers and students of NCAD FIELD at the nearby @ncad_dublin, local community groups and businesses and organisations gather at The Digital Hub campus to harvest the pears.
It’s a wonderful opportunity for residents of The Liberties to gather alongside those who study and work in the area and mark this extraordinary tree.
Learn more about the pear tree through our website via the LinkTree in our bio.
