The Digital Hub supports the rollout of MODOS circular economy programme in Dublin 8

The Digital Hub is teaming up with Dublin City Council and the Waste Management Plan Authority (WMLA) on a circular economy training programme for micro, small and medium size enterprises called MODOS. The aim is to rollout the programme for businesses in Dublin 8 over the coming months.

The circular economy is all about shifting business away from the current ‘take-make-waste’ approach to a more efficient and environmentally sustainable future where products, components and materials are kept in use for as long as possible.

Supply and production chains in the circular economy operate in ‘closed-loops’ making them less wasteful and more resilient and saving businesses and customers money. MODOS is suitable for all businesses but is particularly relevant for those in construction and the built environment, food, retail, manufacturing, textiles and fashion, electronics, plastics and packaging.

Details of the programme and how to take part will be announced in the coming weeks.
