Merry Christmas from The Digital Hub

It's been a busy year at The Digital Hub in Dublin 8. We count 56 companies and organisations as members of The Digital Hub campus and we reached 93% occupancy across our buildings at the beginning of December, while hundreds of children and young people have engaged with our community learning programmes.

Since January, we welcomed 11 new members while 8 expanded their offices here. Our multipurpose spaces – The Bank, Bay 1, iD8 studio and Studio 2 – have hosted thousands of visitors at various events, meetings, training courses and workshops, theatre rehearsals and performances, art exhibitions and more.

Our imaginative community learning programmes for young and old learners in Dublin 8 have increased this year along with our partnerships. Over 600 primary school children have either attended a technology taster session or short learning programme that combines creativity and technology either at The Digital Hub or in their local school over the last 18 months, while just over 300 teens attended courses of various durations at The Digital Hub and with partner organisations.

We thank all our members, partners, those who attended our learning programmes and those who held their events at our campus this year for their support. We wish them Merry Christmas.

An illustration of three people looking at St. Patrick’s Tower at The Digital Hub. One is standing at an easel, another in a wheelchair at an easel and both are painting their representations of the tall tower structure. A third person is standing using a tablet to create her artwork. They are wearing red Santa hats and little snowflake motifs are dotted against the pink background.

In lieu of traditional Christmas cards, we donate to organisations who do good work in our community of Dublin 8. This year we have made donations to: Depaul Ireland, Little Flower Penny Dinners & Solas Project.
