Flux Showcase Exhibition at The Digital Hub – May 12th

FLUX is the new name for Block T Studios, and to celebrate the launch they are hosting a showcase exhibition of some of their members’ best work. FLUX is home to over 40 artists and makers based within the Digital Hub campus in Dublin 8.

The exhibition will run from Friday, May 12^th to Friday May 19^th and is the first at The Digital Hub’s repurposed venue The Bank on Thomas Street.

The FLUX Showcase/Exhibition in collaboration with The Digital Hub

• Friday 12^th May launch night 6pm-9pm – booking essential
• Saturday 13^th – May 12pm-5 pm (as part of Culture Date with D8 + the flea market)
• Sunday 14^th May – Friday 19^th May 12pm-5pm

This showcase will feature our 35 studio members who represent fine art painting, photography, theatre production, video production, illustration, textile design, sustainable fashion, glass art, sculpture, ceramics and a wide variety of creative businesses.

Later in the month, FLUX is set to hold a Sustainability in Fashion Event and Exhibition.

The FLUX Sustainability in Fashion Event & Exhibition

• Sunday 28^th May 1pm-5pm (coinciding/collaboration with the flea market)
• Monday 29^th May – Friday 2^nd June 12pm-5pm

This event will feature FLUX member Sharon Sweeney, a slow fashion sustainable designer who will give a presentation about the effects of fast fashion on the environment, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of sustainability in fashion, and there will be a few soapbox presentations from other sustainable organisations. In the surrounding event space, they will exhibit a wide selection of creators, designers and services who promote sustainability in fashion.
