The Liberties Festival from 20th to 26th July
The Digital Hub is delighted to be a Partner on The Liberties Festival and will host six events on the campus this July as part of the festival.
The Liberties Festival is one of Ireland’s longest-running community festivals. Since its beginnings in 1970, it has grown into a major highlight of Dublin’s summer calendar, offering a vibrant programme of family-friendly activities, sporting events, community celebrations and diverse arts and cultural experiences. The Liberties Festival is an innovative and purpose driven community festival working with local community members and professional artists to put culture, creativity and diversity at the heart of The Liberties.
One focus of the festival this year is rediscovering the connections and history of The Liberties in new and original ways. The festival programme reflects the essence of community and allows everyone free and affordable opportunities to connect and explore.
The Liberties Festival 2026 is brought to you by The Liberties Community Project.
The Digital Hub is delighted to once again partner with the festival and will host six events on the campus as part of the festival’s programme.
Where Do We All Belong? Exhibition
The Digital Hub campus will host the Where Do We All Belong? exhibition at The Bank at The Digital Hub from 23rd to 26th July.
Where Do We All Belong? is a socially engaged visual art project exploring experiences of loneliness, connection, and belonging in The Liberties. The project began in May with a research phase that sought to better understand local attitudes, experiences, and insights relating to loneliness in the area. Feedback was gathered through conversations with residents, meetings with local community groups and organisations, and an anonymous questionnaire distributed locally and available online.
Where Do We All Belong? is a Liberties Festival commission which will culminate in a public exhibition, presenting artwork developed in response to the research and engagement process.
There will be a lunchtime talk at 1.15pm on Friday, 24th July around the project with its creators, participants and external insights.
