Designer-in-Residence focuses on Cervical Screening & Cardiac Arrest Interventions
Glenn Curtin is The Digital Hub’s first Designer-in-Residence. The aim of his six-month residency which commenced in July is creating a healthier world for all.
He has been conducting collaborative research on two important topics; cervical screening and cardiac arrest.
The first phase of his residency saw him use interdisciplinary techniques to develop an in-depth understanding of the lived experience of the people and organisations involved within the systems of cervical screening and cardiac arrest.
Glenn, with the input of others, has now identified the problems within these systems, and while it is a non-linear process he will focus the next stage of his residency on the creation of solutions.
Glenn has also been working alongside the National College of Art & Design Dublin (NCAD), the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP), and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) to publish clinical research in a peer-reviewed journal for the sharing of findings to inform further solutions globally.
The Digital Hub has been a dynamic environment that has facilitated quick and efficient design for Glenn that will hopefully provide meaningful results.
