Culture Date With Dublin 8 Returns To The Digital Hub

The Digital Hub is delighted to be a Programme Partner on Culture Date with Dublin 8, and will host four events this May as part of the festival.

The Digital Hub will host four events on its campus as part of the Culture Date with Dublin 8 festival this May.

~ Celebrating William ‘Billy’ Mooney Photography Exhibition ~

The Digital Hub campus will host the ‘Celebrating William ‘Billy’ Mooney’ photography exhibition at The Bank at The Digital Hub from 7th to 11th May.

Celebrating William ‘Billy’ Mooney photography exhibition is presented by Culture Date with Dublin 8 in partnership with Dublin City Library and Archives. This exhibition will showcase a selection of his work that celebrates people, places and highlights of his career.

Dubliner and Tenters’ resident William ‘Billy’ Mooney is a familiar face and integral part of the local Dublin 8 landscape since he came to live in The Tenters some 72 years ago.

Before retiring, Billy worked as a photographer for Dublin Corporation for forty years and attended numerous events throughout the years ready to capture yet another photograph to add to his enormous collection of images. Today, 12,000 photographs taken by Billy form part of the Dublin City Library and Archive sources.

~ We Love Markets – Culture Date with Dublin 8 Special Edition ~

We Love Markets at The Digital Hub are thrilled to be a part of the Culture Date with Dublin 8 programme this year.

The Market will host up to 50 eclectic stalls, showcasing a mixture of local design and locally made artisan food, homemade crafts, clothes, furniture, bric-a-brac, vintage wares, artisan goods and plenty of hidden gems. The market will support local enterprises, organisations, designers and creatives in Dublin 8.

Special Guest Performance on the day by Lavery.

The market will take place on Sunday, 11th May from 11am – 5pm at the Digital Depot carpark at The Digital Hub.

~ Bee8: Beekeeping Classes ~

Take part in a 1.5-hour hands-on session, where you’ll get up close to bee hives, learn about biodiversity, and discover the magic of honeybees. Perfect for beginners, with sessions designed for both kids and adults!
