The Roblox Raising Producers Learning Programme, delivered at The Digital Hub, engages children aged 9 to 12 from Dublin 8 primary schools in a dynamic introduction to game design and digital creativity.

— Hands-on, interactive sessions in a playful, supportive setting
— Exploring basic game logic, 3D environments & creative design principles
— Strong emphasis on online safety, digital resilience and positive, ethical digital citizenship

Aimed at young users of the highly popular online platform Roblox, The Roblox Raising Producers programme shifts their role from content consumers to confident producers by introducing them to Roblox Studio, the powerful game development engine behind Roblox.

Through hands-on, interactive sessions, participants learn the fundamental tools to build their own mini-games and immersive experiences. They explore basic game logic, 3D environments, and creative design principles in a playful, supportive setting. Each child has the opportunity to design unique content that reflects their imagination and interests.

A core feature of the programme is its strong emphasis on online safety, with each session embedding practical learning on digital resilience. Topics such as respectful communication, protecting personal data, and understanding game moderation are covered through quizzes, demonstrations, and open discussion.

This initiative not only nurtures digital literacy and creative confidence but also empowers children with a safer and more informed understanding of the online environments they navigate daily. The programme is designed to inspire curiosity, build critical thinking, and promote positive, ethical digital citizenship.
