Robohub

RoboHub is a course introducing primary school children from Dublin 8 to robotics

— Introduction to robotics, coding and electronics
— Practical interactive sessions in a supportive setting
— Expert tutors from the robotics and artificial intelligence industry

The RoboHub course is designed to give a holistic approach to the topic of robotics, covering aspects of mechanical, electronic and computer engineering.

The school children students engage in a multi session journey which begins by asking what is a robot and then introduces them to engineering concepts which are essential to robotics. The course finishes with a project, in which the students build their very own robot – a small, autonomous car, which they put to the test in competitive drag races, brake tests and cornering challenges in class.

The course was delivered by people working at The Digital Hub with Akara – a company pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved in healthcare robotics.
