EnergyCAP’s SmartAnalytics Team develops browser-based, enterprise solutions for its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) clients. The products worked on relate to energy and general usage tracking from client sources/devices and involve the handling and processing of time series data. The ideal candidate is eager to expand their knowledge (technical and business), innovates, and is able to work independently and collaboratively within an Agile team to develop and support enterprise-level, browser-based software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain EnergyCAP’s web application software through an Agile-based work environment.
  • Translate technical designs into working, efficient product code.
  • Deliver software that satisfies documented business requirements and expected user experience.
  • Deliver software that conforms to team coding standards and processes.
  • Meet critical software release deadlines while maintaining product quality.
  • Develop new user-facing features and services.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for use in production systems.
  • Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
  • Optimize production application for speed and scalability.
  • Diagnosing and correcting issues arising in the production systems.
  • Actively participate as a member of an Agile-based development team (daily stand ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, etc.).
  • Use version control for code repository management.
  • Work to meet critical software release deadlines while maintaining product quality.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or another technology-related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in production-level, web application development (5+ years preferred).
  • Experienced with software development techniques and practices.
  • Experienced with API-based software development and RESTful application services.
  • Experienced with C#/.NET or similar languages.
  • Experienced with Object Relational Mappers, SQL and general database interactions.
  • Experienced with version control tools, preferably Git.
  • Familiar with continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) concepts and practices.
  • Familiar with software testing principles including unit and automated testing.
  • Familiar with modern web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS, responsive layouts etc.).

Pay: Pay is commensurate on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
