Post-Primary Languages Ireland are currently hiring for a Primary Education Officer to join their team.

About The Role:
Post-Primary Languages Ireland (PPLI) works to implement the policy of the Department of Education and Youth in Ireland of diversifying, enhancing and expanding the teaching of foreign languages in schools and implements key actions in Languages Connect – Ireland’s Strategy for Foreign Languages in Education 2017-2026. This role is being created to support the implementation of the MFL specification as part of the redeveloped Primary Language Curriculum. In particular, the role of the Education Officer will be to facilitate the language upskilling of primary teachers and the development of resources and other supports. We are seeking to recruit a primary teacher with a competence in a foreign language to support the implementation of Languages Connect – Ireland’s Strategy for Foreign Languages in Education 2017-2026, diversifying, enhancing and expanding the teaching of foreign languages.

The candidate for this role will also be required to have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, be able to motivate and inspire teachers and work with teams of associates. Flexibility and an ability to engage in an evolving programme of work in a culture of improvement, collaboration, innovation, and creativity are required.
