The Examination, starring stand-up comedian Willa White (Joy in the Hood, The Savage Eye, You Must Be Jokin` Podcast) is a multi-award-winning production exploring mental health and human rights in the prison system. The Examination is written and directed by leading Irish theatre company Brokentalkers (The Blue Boy, Have I No Mouth, Masterclass).
Featuring @brokentalkers_dublin`s distinctive blend of biography and breath taking theatricality. The Examination draws on historical research and testimony from current and former prisoners as well as Willa White`s own experience of incarceration, rehabilitation and recovery. With powerful imagery and a visceral sound scape, The Examination is an uncompromising, revelatory and often darkly funny interrogation of an aspect of society too often ignored.

๐ฃ Exciting News! The Culture Date with Dublin 8 Festival Programme is Here! ๐ฃ
We are thrilled to be part of this yearโs Culture Date with Dublin 8 Festival by hosting THREE events on our campus.
~ Celebrating William `Billy` Mooney - A Photographic Exhibition ~
12,000 photographs taken by Billy form part of the Dublin City Library and Archive sources. Images cover everything from official Dublin City events to photographs of places and people long gone. This exhibition will showcase a selection of his work that celebrates people, places and highlights of his career.
๐ The exhibition will be available to view from 7th โ 11th May at The Bank at The Digital Hub.
~ We Love Markets at The Digital Hub ~
The Market will host up to 50 eclectic stalls, showcasing a mixture of local design and locally made artisan food, homemade crafts, clothes, furniture, bric-a-brac, vintage wares, artisan goods and plenty of hidden gems. The market will support local enterprises, organisations, designers and creatives in Dublin 8.
๐ The market will take place from 11am โ 5pm on Sunday, 11th May at the Digital Depot car park.
~ Bee8 - Beekeeping Class ~
Take part in a 1.5-hour hands-on session, where youโll get up close to bee hives, learn about biodiversity, and discover the magic of honeybees. Perfect for beginners, with sessions designed for both kids and adults! Tickets available via @culturedatewithdublin8โs website.
๐ The class will take place from 2pm โ 3:30pm on Saturday, 10th May at Leo Freeman Meadow at The Digital Hub.
