European Biometrics Forum

The European Biometrics Forum is a network of some of Europe’s key experts and biometric organizations which has come together to focus on establishing a realistic vision for the future of the biometrics industry in Europe and to remove barriers to adoption in the context of a fast developing international market.

Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, the initial funding for the EBF was provided by European Commission and the Irish Government.

The EBF focuses on supporting the development of world-class standards, best practice and innovation in this industry to strengthen trust and confidence in emerging biometric applications. The Board of Directors of the EBF, appointed in May 2003 is responsible for driving forward the work for the European Biometric Forum.
