GOA is a key European publisher of entertainment software. Established in 1998, GOA is part of the Content Division of Orange, Europe’s third largest mobile telephone operator and largest provider of broadband services. GOA has responsibility for all of Orange’s online gaming activities. GOA publishes titles targeted at all levels of the online gaming market, from casual to hardcore gamers.
In September 2008 GOA published the most hotly anticipated MMORPG of the year, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. This game was developed by Mythic Entertainment, and was launched simultaneously in Europe, the United States and Oceania. GOA is responsible for localization, distribution and support of the game in all European territories.
In 2007, GOA launched Europe’s first portal with free-to-play multiplayer online games, www.goa.com. Since launch it has proved to be very successful, adding large numbers of registered users every month. The aim of GOA.com is to create a community where thousands of players can meet through competitions, chatrooms and special events. All GOA.com games are free to download and free to play.
