National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE) supports the Diageo Liberties Learning Initiative by providing the project with a seconded teacher, funding for teacher professional development, support for our website and financial support for our evaluation programme.
Smart Telecom has provided all 16 schools in The Digital Hub with broadband Internet access via a wireless/radio network. This is distributed within the schools using power line technology for desktop delivery.
Riverdeep , a leader in educational online content for schools are located in The Digital Hub and are piloting their Destination Math and Literacy products in The Digital Hub schools.
Microsoft Ireland are working with the DLLI team to showcase Microsoft server technology within the Hub’s 16 schools. They are also working with the project at a community level through their Partners in Learning Programme.
Enterprise Ireland has been a sponsor of Dare to be Digital Ireland for the past two years. Dare provides third level, further education students and recent graduates with an opportunity to develop a computer game prototype, which they develop over a ten week period in Scotland.

The Community Employment consists 11 participants who are stabilised on methadone and participate in a training and education programme.
