Barnardos is Irelands leading independent agency for children and families with a wide range of national and local services. Barnardos is committed to the best interests of children and young people in Ireland, promoting and respecting their rights in all of our work.
Barnardos runs family support projects throughout Ireland and the services available in these projects include after-school groups, parent and toddler groups, pre-school, breakfast clubs, toy libraries, individual work with families, parenting programmes, preventing early school leaving, youth programmes and young woman's groups.
The AAS aims to provide advice, information and counselling for people with enquiries about adoption, particularly in the post-adoption area. Services include individual, telephone and group counselling and information on post-adoption services in Ireland and the UK.
Sólas provides help to children, young people and their families who have been bereaved. Services include a confidential advice and information line staffed by trained volunteers, professional counselling to families, individual children and young people, training workshops for professionals and interested groups and an extensive library and information service.
